Urban Search and Rescue Washington Task Force or WA-TF1 is a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force based in Puget Sound region, Washington and is sponsored by the municipalities in the region.[1]

The Washington version of the Urban Search and Rescue operation based in Miami, Florida. Washington DC's USAR appeared at the Pentagon crash, outside of Washington DC in the 9/11 Terrorist attacks and helped many people escape from the rubble in the pentagon, before and after it had collapsed.
