[edit] Technique description

Ura Nage is generally treated as a counter technique from uke's attempt at a forward through such as O Goshi. As a counter from O Goshi tori steps off uke's throw so that he is at uke's side, here tori takes a grip with both hands on Uki's belt (one infront, one behind). Tori then falls backward and lifts uke with his arms simultaneously such that uke goes over tori's head.

[edit] Idaki-sutemi

The Canon Of Judo describes Idaki-sutemi (hugging sacrifice) much like Ura Nage, but tori does a frontal hug rather than a back hug on uke.
