Upper Bayble

Upper Bayble (Scottish Gaelic:Pabail Uarach) in Point, Isle of Lewis is a crofting hamlet which lies a mile (1.5 km) southeast of Garrabost. Lower Bayble lies immediately to the southwest.

It has produced three internationally recognised writers of poetry and prose, Iain Crichton Smith, Derick Thomson and Anne Frater. The former writing predominantly in English and the latter two writing almost exclusively in Gaelic
