PS Thanks for the telecom and networking-related edits.

[edit] Universal Powerline Association

I got your message and I have made a comments on the AfD page plus its talk page. There are some Wikipedia policies and guidelines that it looks like you've run into:

  • Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Note in particular: "If you have a conflict of interest, you should:"
    • "avoid editing articles related to your organization or its competitors;"
    • "avoid participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors ..."
      • - Thanks for the head's up all the edits I have made have been attempts at improvement, I will stand back and watch from now on.

Note that notability claims have to meet these requirements:

I don't have much time for Wikipedia at the present to coach you on this stuff, but hopefully these items will help you.

Also, from the content and timing of your edits, it appears you may be a DS2 employee -- people associated with DS2 should not be adding or editing articles about that company.--A. B. 13:48, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

  • O.K. Should I delete the article?

P.S. It doesn't seem right that you are submitting an article on your organization yet also proposing the removal of a competing technology's article.

- This edit refers to the Operation section of this article (rather than the article in general), which I think is applicable to powerline in general rather than the HomePlug implementation.
