Up for the Match

Up for the Match is a popular television programme broadcast in Ireland on RTÉ One.

The show is broadcast on the eve of the All-Ireland hurling and football finals and is effectively a build-up to the big games. Up for the Match features a mixture of music and chat with special guests and experts from the world of the Gaelic Athletic Association offering their opinions on the big game and stories of former clashes. The audience is made up of former players, officials and supporters of both teams taking part in the final. Up for the Match (formerly Up for the Final) was originally presented by Liam Ó Murchú. It is currently presented by Mary Kennedy and Des Cahill.
