[edit] Plot

Wong Chi Hang (Anthony Wong, Infernal Affairs) is the owner of a restaurant called the Eight Immortals, a local joint where the main delicacy is Chinese pork buns. Desperate to unload his restaurant and secure the cash, Wong is also harboring some terrible secrets. He's actually a wanted criminal who escaped Hong Kong in the late 1970s after murdering someone over a debt. But what's worse is the owner before Wong, has disappeared along with his entire family without a trace to be found. Meanwhile, rotted human remains have washed up on a beach which have the cops speculating whom they may belong to, and their steps have been traced back to the Eight Immortals restaurant. While they may very well be clumsy and hormonal at their job, the police are onto Wong through their superior Office Lee (co-director Danny Lee), who thinks Wong has more to tell about than just his horrific crime years ago.
