Harold & Kumar Go to Amsterdam was the name initially given [1] to the sequel of Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, but recent interviews [2] [3] confirm that Amsterdam will not be in the final title. Sources confirm [4] the film production began the last week of January 2007 in Shreveport, Louisiana [5] and wrapped in March. [6]

John Cho and Kal Penn will return as the stoner duo, with Paula Garcés as Harold's love interest Maria. The sequel is planned for release in 2008. The film's plot is rumoured to revolve upon Harold and Kumar being mistaken for terrorists while boarding an international flight to Amsterdam. The pair escape the Guantanamo Bay detainment facility and fight their way back, travelling through Miami to Texas until they ultimately end up at the house of US President George W. Bush all while being chased by the Department of Homeland Security. [7] [8]

Other actors set to appear include David Krumholtz, Rob Corddry, Christopher Meloni, Ed Helms, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Paula Garcés, Jack Conley, Roger Bart, Danneel Harris, Eric Winter, Neil Patrick Harris and Brandon Routh.[9] Several celebrities, including Lil' Kim, are also rumoured to make appearances in the film.
