I am not sure about the patrol dates listed here, but these are the ones listed on the uboat.net listing. Hut 8.5 13:21, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry but i have to confirm Tom's report, Horsefield was stationed asure awaiting trial for a homophobic attack on David Comley at the time and so was not present in the plane. Evidence can be found at (linkspam removed)

I still cannot find that evidence. Even if there is any on that website, WP:Verifiability states that information must come from "reliable and reputable sources", and a blog about a Rome: Total War clan is not a reputable or reliable source about the Second World War. By contrast, the Fleet Air Arm Archive [1] IS a relable source on the Second World War, and DOES say that the pilot in question was on the plane at the time of the sub's sinking.
