For those of you geeky enough to check out my userboxes.
I am an 18 year old gamer and computer programmer.
I admit that I am a geek, and will openly say so. I am also a borderline hippy (imagine that).
In terms of games, I prefer RPGs and tactical games, but I like pretty much everything. I like both the Wii, and the PS3, although I refuse to buy a PS3 until the price drops under $150 US. I don't like the X-Box much, mainly because I don't like Microsoft and I think the X-Box has too many shooters/not enough variety.
I don't like politics much, and think most politicians should not be politicians. I greatly dislike the 2-party system (and political parties in general), because it doesn't make it easy for people of other parties to make it in government and it puts too much emphasis on the views of a party, and not enough emphasis on the candidate's merit or personal views. It also forces certain views together that have no reason to be grouped together (gay marriage and tax cuts, for example).
I am a socialist. Despite that, I like Ayn Rand's views. I also think that a centrist would make the best leader, because a centrist would not cater to one side or another.
I like 70's rock, and most classical and medieval music.
I am a vehement pacifist, and believe that war, no matter what the cause, should be avoided at all costs.
For some reason, I have a strange facination for the medieval ages and some earlier civilizations (including medieval warfare, despite my pacifism).
Apart from that, I don't think there is anything else you would need to know about me.

Just a note on my section on politics: I agree with the comment made by Jimbo (seen below) about politics in Wikipedia. I provide my political views purely as a reference for those who are curious. I do not wish to judge or be judged based on political beliefs, and I will in no way try to push them on others.
"I would like to discourage the use of these and similar templates on user pages, instead encourage people to adopt an attitude of 'Here we are Wikipedians, out there we are advocates'. The point is, we don't act in Wikipedia as a Democrat, a Republican, a pro-Lifer, a pro-Choicer, or whatever. Here we are Wikipedians, which means: thoughtful, loving, neutral.--Jimbo Wales 19:58, 29 December 2005 (UTC)"
