Unlawful killing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unlawful killing is a verdict which can be returned by an inquest in the United Kingdom. The essence of this verdict is that the victim's death was deliberately caused by another person or persons, who are therefore criminally liable as a result. Examples of inquests where this verdict has been returned include:
- Matty Hull - killed in an American Friendly Fire incident in 2003.
- Tom Hurndall - shot by an Israeli sniper in the Gaza Strip in 2003 .
- Terry Lloyd, who was fired on by US tanks near Basra on 22 March 2003 .
