Unkle Bob is a band based in the UK.

The band was formed in and around Glasgow University.

Unkle Bob have variously been compared to acts as diverse as R.E.M., Prefab Sprout and Radiohead, and have a unique acoustic rock style, led by a truly original lead singer, Rick Webster, who is also the band's main songwriter.

Their debut album "Sugar & Spite" was released on 16 October 2006 on Friendly Sounds / Mother City - a label set up by Ex-James guitarist Saul Davies and Aaron Moore (Ministry of Sound / EMI).

Unkle Bob released the single "Put a Record On" on 19 February 2007.

The band will be playing throughout the UK and Europe to support the releases.
