Punkmorten answers here to my question about deletion of Temis article universimmedia 10:46, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi! The basis for deletion was the unanimous consensus for delete on the AFD page. Your observation of the "debate" (no real discussion) is correct, but that should be taken as a sign: No-one voiced their opinions to save the article, so why should we retain it? You are formally correct. I don't remember exactly the content of the article, and maybe it could have been considered as spam. OTOH seems to me that Temis can meet the notability criterion defined by WP:PROD. Just try this Google search and look at some results like this profile [1], or that critical review [2]. Among a lot of others. So beyond formal conformance to the process, I wonder about the fact that to delete an article is more easy and quick that to figure if it's worth being improved. In this case, seems to me the deletion was more on the basis of the content of the article than of the relevancy of its subject. On the same basis, a lot of other software companies articles could be deleted as well, because their content is not much more than the company self-description and a link to the website, and notability of the company is far from proven, default any external references. universimmedia 10:46, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

The guidelines would be laid out in WP:CORP. Second, in some cases the content of the article is the grounds for deletion, i.e. if one is dealing with a case in which it would be best to start over. In any case, finding this out is up to the deletion debate participants and not necessarily the closing admin. Concerning your other point, you are free to create a decent article about the subject (if it meets the guidelines), and you are also free to nominate spammy articles for deletion or cleanup.
