[edit] History

[edit] UADE 1.xx

UADE project was started by Heikki Orsila in April 2000. The first public release (version 0.01) of the program was made on 2000-04-09. Version 1.00 was released over 4 years later on 2004-10-30.

[edit] UADE 2.xx

First version of UADE 2.xx was publicly released on 2005-07-15. UADE 2.xx differs from 1.xx by:

  • emulates Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200 audio filters
  • better resampling of Amiga sound frequencies to native sound card frequencies
  • supports fast-forward seeking (expensive due to required emulation)
  • lacks ability to decompress old Amiga packer formats; instead a separate tool (amigadepacker) is provided
  • some additional Amiga formats are supported
