The University of the Aegean (Greek Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου) is a university located in Mytilene, Greece. It was founded in 1984 and is composed of five schools.

The University Units (Schools and Departments) of the University are located on five different islands in the Aegean Sea:

University Unit of Mytilene (based in Mytilene, Lesvos)
University Unit of Chios (based in Chios, Chios)
University Unit of Syros (based in Ermoupolis, Syros)
University Unit of Samos (based in Karlovasi, Samos)
University Unit of Rhodes (based in Rhodes, Rhodes)
