University of Waterloo School of Architecture
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The School of Architecture is one of the professional schools of the University of Waterloo. It is part of the Faculty of Engineering and is located on a satellite campus in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
The school moved to a former factory building in downtown Cambridge in September 2004, citing lack of space in university's main campus as one of the main reasons for relocation. It is also hoped that this relocation will spur economic activity in the area. The move has been criticized for isolating architecture students from the rest of the university. Although the school runs an in-house store, some students have cited a need to drive to Toronto for architectural supplies. [1].
