University of Victoria Students' Society

University of Victoria Students' Society is the students council for students at the University of Victoria.
The UVSS has over 17,000 members and was founded in 1963.
The UVSS has a participatory democratic structure with annual elections of an executive. Members are able to force referendum and general meetings with the signatures of 10% and 1% of the membership respectively. The executive is made up of eleven Directors at Large, five Constituency Representatives, Chair, Director of Finance, Director of Academics and Director of Services.
Programs offered by the UVSS include the Cinecenta movie theatre. The UVSS is based in and controls the Student Union Building at the University of Victoria.
