The University of North Texas Research Park is a satellite research facility of the University of North Texas. The Research Park is located in Denton, Texas, north of the main campus on U.S. 77. In January of 2003 the 550,000 square foot facility (formerly occupied by Texas Instruments) opened to students and is mainly used for and by the College of Engineering. The facility houses offices and labs for the Department of Engineering Technology, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Deparment of Materials Science and Engineering and the newly created Department of Electrical Engineering. The Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering is planned to be added in 2007. In addition, the Center for Technology Development and Transfer (CTDT) began operations in 2006.


The University of North Texas Research Park Library is separated into two areas, the circulation room and the reference library.
