University of Natural Sciences

The University of Natural Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam was originally a division of the Indochina College of Sciences, and was renamed the Faculty of Sciences under the University of Saigon in 1956.
This institution took shape in 1977 as a merger of the Faculty of Letters and the Faculty of Sciences. Its name was changed to Ho Chi Minh City University.
Following a split from Ho Chi Minh City University, the university renamed the University of Natural Sciences in March 1996 and it maintains close ties to Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City. It is entrusted with providing education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as undertaking scientific and technological research.
