The University Heights District is a neighborhood in Buffalo, New York.

The University Heights neighborhood is in the northeast corner of Buffalo. Located along Main Street, the neighborhood is bordered on the west by North Buffalo, and to the east by the University at Buffalo South Campus. Also, to the north of University Heights is the Kenilworth neighborhood of the Town of Tonawanda and the Eggertsville neighborhood of Amherst.
Other city communities that sometimes get referenced as 'University Heights', include the University District and the northern part of the Kensington neighborhood.

University Heights was originally known as Ellysville for the Ely family farm located there. It was also known as Buffalo Plains for a time. [1]
"Hayes Hall on the UB Main Street (South) campus is located on one of the highest natural sites in the city (between 690 - 700 feet elevation)." [2]
