Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille

The Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille (USTL) or Université de Lille I is a French university with 20,000 students, plus 14500 students in continuing education (2004). 1,310 teachers and researchers and around 140 CNRS researchers work there. It has a budget of 75 million euros (exclusive of state salary).
The main campus, located in Villeneuve d'Ascq, has an area of 1.1 km². The university also has satellites in Lille (IAE), Sallaumines, Tourcoing and Wimereux (Marine station).
