Peruvian University "The Andes" or Universidad Peruana Los Andes (UPLA) is an educational institution created in December 30, 1983 with the Law Nº 23757. The main campus is situated in Huancayo city - Perú and it is one of most prosperous universities in the central region of the contry which is surrounded with the mountains Los Andes.

It was created in 1983 with four and most important careers of the region such as Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Business Management, Technology Education. In June 23, 1987 a Complementary Law Nº 24697 a new career Civil Engineering startet its funtionality. Lately new faculties were created, new porfesional careers also were created and the modification of some of the old careers in accordance with the nowadays science, technology, social requierments and the latest innovations of education in which they were authorized by Asamblea Nacional de Rectores, a institution who supervises universities in Peru with a Resolution Nº 446-ANR-93 and Asamblea Universitaria Resolution Nº 001-93-AU in December 8, 1993.
