The University Nacional of Salta (Universidad Nacional de Salta - UNSa) is an agentinian public university. It was founded by 19.633 law, the may 11th of 1972, as a part of the plan Taquini, the reorganization plan of superior education. It has around 20.000 students.

The university has regional headquarters in Tartagal and Orán. It is subdivided in six organisms: Economic Sciences, Exacts Sciences, Natural Sciences, Humanities, Engineering and Health Science. It has investigation groups, like CONICET, INECO and INIQUI. It has a Radio Station, Radio Universidad Nacional de Salta.
