Universidad Diego Portales (UDP) is a private university in Chile named after the Chilean statesman Diego Portales. UDP has campuses in the Barrio Universitario de Santiago[1] and Talca. It is recognized for its programs in law, psychology, administration and journalism.[citation needed]

Universidad Diego Portales was established in 1982 and opened to students in 1983. Initially, it consisted of three faculties: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Sciences.
