Machine gun Type 59 (Kulomet vz. 59 in Czech) is an universal machine gun developed in fifties and replaced the machine gun Type 52. This weapon is still used by the Czech Army.

This gun fires 7.62 x 54R ammunition (although variant for 7,62 NATO exists, too) delivered via belt. This weapon serves as light (light barrel and bipod) and medium machine gun (heavy barrel and tripod).
