Universal Technical Institute, Inc., is a nationwide provider of technical education training for students seeking careers as professional automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle and marine technicians.

In 1965, Robert I. Sweet founded the Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (UTI) in Phoenix. The first program was automotive. Since then, the school has grown from 11 students and a one-building campus to more than 80,000 graduates with nine campuses nationwide.

Automotive Technology - covers everything from foreign and domestic car technology to power and performance, with Hot Rod U and Super Street.
Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training - Audi of America, Inc., BMW of America, International Truck and Engine Corporation, Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc., Porsche Cars North America, Inc., Volkswagen of America, Inc., and Volvo Cars of North America, Inc.
Diesel/Industrial Technology - hands-on training with some of the world’s most powerful engines, including Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Caterpillar and International.
Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology - based on the industry standard “I-CAR Enhanced Delivery” and is ASE/NATEF Master certified in all five areas of auto body repair.

NASCAR Technical Institute is located in Mooresville, North Carolina -- at the heart of racing country. The school provides course work in engine construction, electrical, fuel and lubrication systems, drive trains, body and chassis fabrication and racing theory principles. Students will learn the history and rules and regulations of NASCAR, as well as the teamwork needed in today's automotive and racing industries.

The school provides course work in marine technology with a focus on manufacturer-specific training for Volvo Penta, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki Outboard, Mercury Marine and many other major marine manufacturers.
