United States of Europe (1632 series)

The United States of Europe (USE) is a fictional federation in the 1632 series by Eric Flint and many other contributors. It formed out of the Confederation of Principalities of Europe, which was composed of several German political units of the 1630s, and was founded by several late 20th century-early 21st century Americans who were displaced into mid-seventeenth century Europe. They based the structure of the USE loosely on the United States Constitution, taking 17th century politics into account. The President of the USE is Mike Stearns. The Emperor of the USE is Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden.
