United States cities by crime rate (100,000 - 250,000)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Crime rates for United States cities with populations Between 100,000 and 250,000 in 2005

The following table of 2005 murders is based on Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Reports statistics that initially became available in September 2006. The data is available on the FBI 2005 statistic site and is downloadable in Excel format. Populations are on the FBI spreadsheet which they say is based on U.S. Census estimates. The number of murders also includes nonnegligent manslaughter. The data is sorted on basis of murder rates and then by violent crime rate. Data is not complete for all locations -- especially in Illinois.

Rates are based on cases per 100,000.
