For the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest, the UK entered "Come Back", performed by Jessica Garlick. It received 111 points and 3rd place.

The UK selection contest, A Song for Europe, was held on March 3rd 2002 and was hosted by Claire Sweeney & Christopher Price. The final result was as follows:

1st - Come back by Jessica Garlick (67,798 votes), 2nd - DJ Romeo by Tricia Penrose (28,621 votes), 3rd - Every step of the way by Level Best (8,927 votes) 4th - I give in by Surf 'N' Turf (votes undisclosed)
