From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The United Jewish Communities (UJC) is an American Jewish umbrella organization representing 155 Jewish federations and 400 independent Jewish communities across North America. The UJC was formed from the merger of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA), Council of Jewish Federations, and the United Israel Appeal.

The UJC provides fundraising, organization assistance, training, and overall leadership to the Jewish federations and communities throughout the United States and Canada. Its principal foci are social justice, human rights, and family support.

The UJC slogan "Live Generously" is used by Jewish federations throughout North America in their annual campaigns.
