Unitarian Universalist Service Committee

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) is a non-profit international human rights organization that was started in 1939 (as the Unitarian Service Committee) out of an effort to help rescue victims of Nazi persecution during World War II. Today, it works to promote social justice and human rights in the areas of environmental and economic justice, and civil liberties, and defends the rights of those in humanitarian crises. It is an associate member organization of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
