Union River (Maine)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Union River is a river that runs through Ellsworth, Maine, being dammed just above the downtown. This dam no longer serves for hydroelectric purposes but is kept in place to maintain the lake, upon which many camps have been built. In the colonial era, this river was known as the Mount Desert River.[1]
