Union Council Koral

Union Council Koral was established with the establishment of District Islamabad in 1979. Before the establishment of union council the village Koral was the part of Union Council Chaklala district Rawalpindi and its other villages were part of Union Council Kirpa. In 1986 some more villages were included in Union Council Koral. Union Council Koral, the biggest union council of Pakistan and the most developed union council of District Islamabad, is working hard for the development of the area under the Administratorship of Dr Ehtasham Anwer Mahar and management skills of Mr Idrees Khan.

Union Council Koral is about 15 km from Islamabad city, on left side of Islamabad Highway. UC Sihala is on its eastern side, UC Kirpa and Tarlai on its western side, Tehsil Kahuta on northern side, and distt Rawalpindi on southern side.

Union Council Koral is spread over an area of 14685 acres. Its total population according to 1998 census is 24008.

Raja said remain chairman UC from 1979 to 1993 till his death. After his death his voice chairman Raja Ashia Hussian became acting chairman till the dissolution local bodies in 1993. From 1993 to date district administration officers have been administering UC Koral.
