Union Cane (character)

Union Cane is a fictional boxer is Rocky V.

He was the world heavyweight champion when Rocky retired after beating Ivan Drago. He is represented by fight promoter George Washington Duke. Duke tried to get Rocky Balboa to fight Union Cane in order to bring out a larger crowd of people, but Rocky refused to fight him and retires. Cane subsequently wins the title as he was supposedly the number one contender at the time of Rocky's retirement. Tommy Gunn rises up through professional boxing and knocks out Union Cane in the first round to become the new champion.
