Unicons

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Unicons is a visual, global language, which makes it possible for people all over the world to chat with each other without the bounderies of standard written languages. A Unicons is a pictogram or ideogram of an expression, object or act. The purpose is to create an imagelibrary which covers all aspects of other languages.

United Icons (Unicons) are still in devolpment. Because of the fact that languages envelope best while being used it is very inportant that people create, share and use Unicons. In the near future it will be possible for everyone to upload Unicons to the Uuncons site and be part of the evolution.

Unicons are based upon old graphic and visual writings like the Chinese Ideograms, Hanzi, Sumerian and cuneiform script. Also the Blissymbolics, a visual script developed by Charles K. Bliss was something closely watched while working on Unicons. The difference between Blissymbolics and Unicons is the readability. Blissymbolics, due to it's complexity, has to be mastered first, Unicons are much easier to comprehand.
