UniSoft

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

UniSoft Corporation is a former Unix vendor that now works on software for digital television development and broadcast.

[edit] History

UniSoft was founded in 1981, initially working as a Unix porting house, completing over 225 Unix ports to numerous CPU architectures. Its port of Version 7 Unix was the operating system for the first Sun workstations. It got into the digital TV industry in 1997 due to the lack of standards compliant software in the industry. It now focusses solely on development, testing, and broadcast tools for digital TV.

Please note, there are several "UniSoft" companies around the world.
