Template talk:Units of pressure

[edit] This template is unnecessarily too difficult to read

I find this table to be much too "busy" and too difficult to read.

One reason for this is that it attempts to be too precise by including either = or ≈ in each cell of the table so as to differentiate between exact values and non-exact values ... which is completely unnecessary for 99% of the people who will use this table. We are not all nuclear physicists or rocket scientists.

Another reason is that the unit name (i.e., Pa, bar, atm, etc.) was also included in the table cells even though they are clearly shown in the top row of the table.

The net result is that the values and text in the tables had to be wrapped ... resulting in a confusing and difficult to read table.

Rather than revising this table somewhat drastically and running the risk of offending those who developed it, I have made a very similar and much more readable version of this template named Template:Pressure Units and it was placed in the Category:Units of pressure ... just next to this template.

I would be very interested in learning what anyone thinks of my new template as compared to this one. mbeychok 22:36, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
