Talk:University of Turku

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I spotted the "22 040" thingy immediately when reading this article. I was previously contacted about the article 22040, which has since been deleted. I said I didn't know anything about it, because I don't live in Turku. I still don't live in Turku, but now I see the story is more notable than I thought it was. Who added the information about "22 040" into the article? — JIP | Talk 20:31, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Chino did, in Novemeber 2004. It appears valid. --Kizor 02:13, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] COPYVIO!

Oh for Frak's sake. The history section, as it is now, fails with flying colors when compared to the university's own English history. Where do we go from here? Do we nuke everything and start over? Destroy the offending part and most of the edit history? Have me rewrite it and act casual? Anyone? --Kizor 06:13, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Contact the University of Turku (the name of the person who wrote the text is at the bottom of the site) and ask whether the text can be used under the GFDL licence. They have to understand that permission to reproduce the text is not enough - we need permission to mercilessly edit the text and give it to other GFDL projects. I replaced the text with a translation from fi-wiki. -EnSamulili 10:30, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
