Talk:University of Alabama School of Law

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've added the law school infobox with as much data as I could find, and done some additions to the text - basically just what's available from the rankings and their own web site. I don't go to the school, so can't add much to it bar what's easily available to all - hope this helps the clean-up some. Mnemeson 20:42, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Outright falsifications

-According to the new US News and World Report rankings, the Alabama bar passage rate is 97%, not 98.5%. -According to the newest law journal rankings, the Alabama Law Review is the 98th most-cited journal in the nation, not the 25th. (http://lawlib.wlu.edu/LJ/index.aspx) -According to its own admission, the average GPA for last years class was a 3.49, not a 3.56.

I'm wondering if the reason why Alabama jumped in the new US News rankings is because it fabricated its numbers in its annual report (much like those in this website have been fabricated) instead of earning its place. This would explain why it is statistically inferior to the other schools that are tied with it at #36.
