What is the policy, if any, on anglicizing the French names of Francophone institutions? We have I think this should be Université de Moncton and Université du Québec à Montréal, but also Laval University and University of Paris.

It seems somewhat unnatural to me to say something like "University of Quebec at Montreal", but I have some feeling that this article should be called University of Moncton. --Saforrest 22:30, Sep 21, 2004 (UTC)

As someone who has worked for the said university, it's Université de Moncton and nothing else, in the French and English. The university always prided itself as a French-language institution and has loudly complained when an English translation of its name has appeared in the media. - Bouchecl 05:59, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
