What happen in the 1994 Dream Team

Contents

[edit] Problem problem...

Problem: it's just good for Dream Team I, but after...

For exemple:

  • Dream Team II: it's not the 1996 Olympic Team but the 1994 World Championship team: [1]

...

Yep. The previous authors of this article forgot about the real Dream Team II (1994), as well as the one in 2002. I've added new sections on them. Funnyhat 05:58, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

    • Are you guys sure?? "Cause I remember clearly that ESPN called the 2004 olympic team 'Dream Team IV'. I was under the impression that the teams that went to the olympics were dubbed dream teams. <<Coburn_Pharr>> 5 July 2005 00:53 (UTC)

[edit] Moving?

Anyone else think that United States national basketball team needs some love? There's only so long we can call them the Dream Team, and there were teams before that... (see: American national men's hockey team for the format, or Germany national basketball team for another.) -- Jjjsixsix (talk)/(contribs) @ 04:45, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

    • Now that its moved the article needs info on the teams prior to Barcelona FancyPants 01:04, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
      • oh and the Womens team needs info too FancyPants 01:20, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deleted section

States that 8 of the team is in the hall of fame. out of the 12 Jordan, Mullins, Pippen, Malone, Stockton, Robinson Ewing, and Laetner are not. Johnson, Bird, Barkley and Drexler are in. FancyPants 06:33, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] history of US basketball team

where are the parts of this article (or links) to previous US men's basketball teams (such as the 1984 team featuring Jordan, Bobby Knight, etc.)?

Be bold and write it--Nick Dillinger 21:57, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I've added info on the teams dating back to 1936.--Tdickson 15:42, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dream TeamS?

I think there are only 2 real Dream Teams (the 1992 olympics team ande the 1994 championship team)

I mean , Are they going to still call it "Dream Team" forever? Why should it be called "Dream Team IV" to the 2004 Olympics Team? Since they end at third. I'm also looking foward to create a main article about the original Dream Team.

An article on the original Dream Team would be nice - especially since it already exists in many other languages. Funnyhat 00:51, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Is this article about both the men's and women's teams?

As is, this article doesn't even mention the women's national basketball team. If this is just about the men's team then it should be renamed to United States men's national basketball team, otherwise this article should include info about the women's team. VegaDark 04:26, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

I discovered the article on United States women's national basketball team so I moved this article to match that naming convention. VegaDark 20:14, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup tag

I added the cleanup tag to this. First of all, the article is really long. We should/can move the "final standings" into the article on the respective Olympic games (e.g., Basketball at the 1936 Summer Olympics; usually those articles have the rankings but not the records). Having a section for each Olympics and WC seems like overkill--there should either be a separate article on each team--definitely a separate article for the 1992 Dream Team--or the US data should be moved to the specific Olympic games. Finally, there are lots of missing wikilinks and a few misspelled names. I don't have time to address these right now but will try to start knocking on this in the next few days. [edit] United States national basketball team

I'll be redirecting it here and instead add a dab note at the top for United States women's national basketball team. --Howard the Duck 16:53, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
