[edit] "Welcoming Congregation" restructuring

Please see my comment on reorganization of the "Welcoming Congregation" topic (replying there). Thanks! --Haruo 06:40, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merger proposal

Do we need this article and Welcoming Congregation both? Neither are very long, and the subject matter is too closely related for separate articles. I suggest we merge them together with a new name inclusive of all LGBT with discussion of Welcoming Congregations as well as UU congregations not part of the program. Aleta 11:30, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

No one objected: articles merged. Aleta 00:26, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
For discussion history of the Welcoming Congregation portion, see Talk:Welcoming Congregation. Aleta 01:25, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
I've turned Welcoming Congregation into a disambig as that seemed more useful than keeping the dablink text at the top of the section here. --Alynna 21:25, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Good idea! Aleta 00:13, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Article title question

Over at Talk:Welcoming Congregation before the merger, there seemed to be agreement on having the combined article at Unitarian Universalism and LGBT persons. Would there be support for moving this article there now? --Alynna 21:28, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

I'd support it. I like the more inclusive name - which is better representative of the topic. Aleta 00:13, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
I would support the general idea of moving this article to Unitarian Universalism and LGBT persons, but wouldn’t it be better to move it to Unitarian Universalism and LGBTQ persons. The Q in LGBTQ it stand for questioning, and I wink including the Q is more inclusive. What do you think?—Devin Murphy04:52, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Works for me. --Alynna 15:44, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Me, too. Inclusiveness is good.  :) Aleta 21:34, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moved completed

To Unitarian Universalism and LGBTQ persons -Aleta 21:40, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] why i moved the portals

I was primarily trying to fix a WP:BUNCH problem on my screen. Secondary to that, WP:PORTAL says: "These templates should be located at article ends in See also sections (or equivalents)." That's a good suggestion, I think, as a reader probably wants to visit a portal after they've read (most of) the article. But if you must move them back up, please at least put them under the Welcoming Congregations section, so they don't bunch up the edit links. coelacan — 04:46, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

I agree they are better in the "see also" section. I'm not sure why they were moved out of it in the first place. Aleta 04:53, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
