Unholy Confessions is a song by Avenged Sevenfold. It is the 2nd track on the 2003 album "Waking the Fallen" and is one of their most popular songs. Waking the Fallen was released on August 23, 2003.
This song can be interpreted as a final wish to get whatever is going on between a relationship out. Or, it could be an anthem for a hero/heroine, to slay and conquer over his/her enemy.
Unholy Confessions was released as a single/music video. In the video Avenged Sevenfold is pictured performing in concert. When the band signed to Warner Bros. in 2004 the label urged them to make video for this song to create buzz for 2005's City of Evil. This song and Chapter Four are regarded by many as Avenged Sevenfold's platinum hits.
