A sequel to the popular cult movie Sleepaway Camp. This film takes place 5 years after the original where the terrible murders that occurred are now a favourite camp story at Camp Rolling Hills. This time around, Angela (now a post-operative transexual) is a counselor at the camp and ready to discipline any of the naughty campers who don't do as she says.

- All of the people who get murdered in this film's first names are taken from famous actors from that time period. Most of them based on Brat Pack actors, but also for John Hughes.
- The film makes references to the horror films Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. On the film's poster, a woman is seen carrying a backpack with a hockey mask like that worn by Jason Vorhees and the glove of Freddy Krueger. There even is an entire act in which campers battle dressed up like horror icons Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger and Leatherface.
