[edit] Handling these
On the category page a comment said we should retag them as "Noncommercial template or the Db-noncom". That seems just to be extra work when we could just delete them as unfree. Are we going to contact each photographer individually, give them a certain amount of time to respond and then delete, or shall we just delete them all and spend our time finding free media? If the photographers don't get contacted, how long shall we leave them here? Secretlondon 14:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- I would say speedy delete them. Although technically they don't fall under speedy criteria Wp:csd#I3, but to list every one of them on WP:IFD seems a bit excessive. Garion96 (talk) 21:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, Sherool already did a creative solution. :) Garion96 (talk) 22:22, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- What was it? I can't see any obvious change. Secretlondon 22:50, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- He listed it on Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images#SXC images. See also the tag on this (not the talk) category page. He also left a message on the village pump here. Garion96 (talk) 23:34, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

- The uploaders of these images need to be notified. That is the proper way to do things. A mass deletion proposal with no uploader notification is not proper. Johntex\talk 01:05, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. Instead of mass deleting the images, why not mass contact the owners? --Iamunknown 03:05, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
