Underwired

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Underwired is a European web design and eCRM agency. It has won a number of awards[1] for its web design and eCRM work.

The company was founded in 1996 by Ruth Brecher initially specialising in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

Underwired has a notable list of clients including Virgin Megastores[2], Harrods[3], Friends Reunited, JP Morgan, Peugeot[4], Institute of Cancer Research[5], Virgin Holidays[6], Procter & Gamble, Thomson Corporation and Nickelodeon[7].

In 2001 Underwired was taken over[8] by Jason Holland and (occasionally controversial[9]) Felix Velarde, previously founders of Lowe & Partners' UK digital arm Head New Media[10], both of whom are involved in industry awards[11], education[12] and commentary[13] for titles including New Media Age and the Financial Times[14].

Underwired's planning director is Lazar Dzamic[15], an author[16], eCRM strategist and industry commentator[17].
