UnDead & Buried is a role-playing game module (stand-alone adventure) published in 1992 by Mayfair Games for use with the Chill rules system. Set in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, it deals with zombies and a powerful manipulator of the unknown.

It was written by David J. Rust, edited by Jim Musser, and illustrated by Scott Beaderstadt.

This publication bears the distinction of being one of the last printed by Mayfair before the company decided to stop producing role-playing games altogether.

[edit] Plot

The players are cast as investigators of S.A.V.E., called in at the urging of a former researcher with the organization to investigate what looks to be the rise of a powerful form of Undead. Encounters, both location-based and timeline-based, progress to convince the players of this fact.

The truth is that their former ally has fallen under the thrall of a cannibalism-promoting Black Tamanous who has turned him into a minion. The true goal of the enemies is to gain the player characters' trust, then infiltrate S.A.V.E..

During the course of the adventure, the PCs are tricked into eating human flesh, thus making them more susceptible to the Tamanous pulling the strings.

It is a fairly basic story of misdirection, with added elements of cannibalism and some social commentary about the plight of the homeless (who are frequently the source of the meat that the Tamanous provides).
