[edit] Ulysses is not just a text editor
I fundamentally disagree with the claim that Ulysses is nothing but a text editor. I plan on changing this article to reflect the fact that it is really a word processor. If people disagree, they can contact me on my talk page or post here. --Vistago 06:02, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- The developers state on the Web site, Ulysses is: "The text editor for creative writers." Ulysses, by design, lacks many of the formatting features expected in modern word processors. And, although it has some extremely basic formatting options when exporting projects, Ulysses removes all formatting markup from imported documents because the native format of the Editor pane is plain text. I'm not sure what could qualify it as a word processor; could you be more specific? -- Hoofed 23:56, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
