[edit] Image:Menthol.png
Hi there! Thanks for adding the image Image:Menthol.png. It currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, and I was hoping that you would add one as untagged images may be deleted eventually. (You can use {{gfdl}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks! --Diberri | Talk 23:26, Aug 31, 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks for the extra note about the image. If it's original work drawn by a Japanese Wikipedian, I'm assuming it's GFDL, since they checked the Wikipedia copyright box. I've placed the {{GFDL}} tag on the image to indicate this. Thanks, Diberri | Talk 21:30, Sep 6, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Asian Cup
Hi, your Asian Cup articles appear to have no content apart from an external link. Since Wikipedia is not a link farm, such "articles" would normally be deleted on sight. However, since you appear to have gone to some trouble to set these up, I'll hold fire for the time being to let you add some text and make these acceptable articles. jimfbleak 07:41, 24 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Images
Hello! I wanted to ask you to upload your images at [http:commons.wikimedia.org commons.wikimedia.org] instead en.wikipedia.org, as they are available to all wikipedias, not just to the english one. This way there's no need to upload (and have in memory) a lots of times the same image. Thank you very much for your logos at Primera División Argentina! --Mariano July 4, 2005 11:03 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summary
Dear contributor, first I would like to say a big thank you for your time, care, and enthusiasm in editing Wikipedia articles. I hope you find it just as much fun as I do.
I am writing with a small suggestion. I wonder if you could write an edit summary every time you make changes to an article (or when you start a new one). Even a short summary helps. To see how often you have done so in the past, you may go to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=YOUR USERNAME.
Edit summaries are important for a number of reasons. Every time you change an article, a record of that change propagates to every single person who has that article on their watchlist. Most people have an article on their watchlist because they care a lot about it, so they would like to be informed about what is going on with it. Accurate summaries help people decide whether it is worthwhile for them to check a change. This is why your edit summary, which will take you maybe 15 seconds, is a time-saver and a great act of candor to the other people interested in the same article as you. Accurate edit summaries are important because they create trust regarding your contributions and help resolve disputes.
There are other, very convincing reasons for putting an edit summary. More information is available at Wikipedia:Edit summary. If at any point you have any questions about this rule (or anything else for that matter), please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you and happy editing! FrancisTyers 12:03, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Junior.GIF)
Thanks for uploading Image:Junior.GIF. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — Rebelguys2 talk 19:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Age category
Hello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:
- Using an age group category, such as Category:Wikipedians in their 30s
- Using a decade category, such as Category:Wikipedians born in the 1970s.
If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 12:53, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
