Ultramantis or Ultramantis Black is an American professional wrestler and former student of the Chikara Wrestle Factory.
Ultramantis is best known for his work in the Chikara Pro Wrestling promotion where he teams with Hydra and Crossbones to form The Order of the Neo Solar Temple. His former group, The Dark Breed, consisted of himself, Hallowicked and Blind Rage. He is one of the students from the first class of CHIKARA Pro students along with Mister Zero, Icarus, Hallowicked, and Dragonfly.
Ultramantis was a relief pitcher for Pepperdine University's baseball team when he was drafted by the Texas Rangers. He was to begin playing for the Rangers' minor league affiliate Bakersfield Blaze when a motorcycle accident cut short his career. The following year, Ultramantis turned his sights on professional wrestling - wrestling in several "backyard" and "renegade" promotions on the east coast mainly in hardcore "death matches" before being accepted into CHIKARA Pro's inaugural class.
