Ultra Sonic Edukators (USE) are a psychedelic pop band from Chicago, Illinois. USE formed in Arpil 2006 when the former members of indie bands University and Speedwell joined forces. They are a group who are quickly developing a following in the Chicago music scene. Their style blends elements of psychedelic rock and pop and has a strong British pop/rock flavor while still retaining American music roots. Their sound is reminiscent of bands such as Blur, Super Furry Animals, Guided by Voices, My Morning Jacket, and Teenage Fanclub.

In June 2006 USE completed their first full length record, "Armageddon Is In My Room". They are still meeting with various labels regarding the release of the record. Currently the recordings can be found online through the band's MySpace page.

USE have played at many of the notable venues in Chicago and the surrounding midwestern region including Schubas, Double Door, Elbo Room, Subterranean, House of Blues, and the Hurricane in Kansas City, MO. USE have shared the stage with groups such as Smoking Popes,The Redwalls, Local H, The Republic Tigers, Lovers In Transit, and Figdish.

USE was recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the best 25 bands on MySpace in December, 2006.

In July, 2006 the band played at Hedgpeth Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin with such bands as The Flaming Lips, Kings of Leon, Phantom Planet, Hot Hot Heat, and Primus.

Guitarist, John Jared Bowes formerly played with The Billions and University. Bassist, Gordon Persha Jr., drummer, Aaron Mortenson, and keyboard player, Doc all formerly played in University. Lead singer, Z-Force, guitarist Dagan Nolan, and drummer Landon MacDonald all formerly played in high school band Speedwell.
